DESCRIPTION

CampOut is a camping simulation that allows users to experience what it is like to camp in the open and educate users with some helpful tips while camping outside.

 

My task include:

  • 3D modelling assets

  • Ensuring everyone is on track

  • Scripting some interactions in game

  • Creating some effects

Level Design and Building

Helped think of possible level design for main scene

Scripting

Cooking

The player must use sticks to create Fish on a Stick or Mushroom on a Stick. The player must place the fish or mushroom on a stick (snap to socket interactor). The player must then snap the Fish/Mushroom on a Stick onto a spot beside the campfire (socket interactor).

Eating + Hallucination Effect

The player can bring the cooked food to their mouth ( hold the food using Grab/Teleport Button move controller to mouth) to eat it. Eating sounds will be played and the food will disappear after a few seconds. The player must be careful when eating food, or else they will hallucinate.

Project Management

  • Monitors Jira task progress and ensured that the team kept up with the recommended completed story points each week.
     

  • Assigning tasks to team members.

Audio

Sourced out the VFX for majority of the interactions

Playtesting and Iteration

Assisted in conducting the playtest with inexperience VR player and help noted down the feedback for further implementations.
